AARP MedicareRX Plans
Scope
Periscope contracted me to push the United Health Group’s printed materials design and promote the AARP MedicareRX Plans. This project required a shift from my usual outdoor-focused work to healthcare communications aimed at an older audience with specific visual needs.
Creative Direction
Understanding the target demographic’s visual limitations, I prioritized clarity and accessibility in the design. This meant using larger, highly legible typography for the elderly—especially for the mandatory legal text, which required prominent placement and scale.
Content Creation
I produced a variety of printed materials including direct mail pieces, posters, and flyers. Throughout, I balanced brand consistency with user-friendly design principles to ensure the messaging was clear and compliant without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.
Results
This project expanded my design versatility and deepened my experience working within strict regulatory and accessibility requirements. The materials delivered clear, approachable communication for a sensitive audience—demonstrating the importance of adaptable design strategies across industries.
