Own the Hunt

Scope

Polaris needed to deepen its connection with the hunting community—an audience built on trust, tradition, and authenticity. The challenge was to create a campaign that resonated with their values while showcasing Polaris vehicles as essential tools for the hunt.

Creative Direction

I collaborated on the concept and led the art direction of Own the Hunt, an award-winning integrated campaign series that positioned Polaris as a trusted partner in the field. The creative strategy was grounded in a deep understanding of the hunter’s mindset—crafting messaging and visuals that felt authentic to their experience, not manufactured for it.

From visual tone to messaging hierarchy, every detail was designed to reflect the grit, purpose, and respect that define the hunting lifestyle. The campaign focused on building credibility through storytelling that resonated with hunters’ values and day-to-day realities.

Content Creation

This three-part series combined bold creative and compelling storytelling to connect emotionally and practically with the hunting audience. We developed a range of assets, including:

  • Long-form and short-form video

  • Targeted digital ads

  • Print placements

  • Social media content

  • On-vehicle and in-field photography

The campaign highlighted real hunting scenarios and the Polaris vehicles built to support them—moving the narrative beyond product features to purpose and lifestyle.

Results

Own the Hunt successfully raised awareness, improved brand favorability, and drove engagement within a discerning audience. The campaign earned recognition within the industry, validating its creative impact and strategic relevance. More importantly, it proved that Polaris isn’t just accepted by hunters—it’s built for them.

Authentically Polaris

While capturing episode three of the Own the Hunt series we had the opportunity to document a day in the life of the duck hunting legend Tony Vandemore and his guides in prep for their big season at Habitat Flats. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes for a successful season and we were there to capture raw authenticity from the perspective of Polaris owners.
